About NewDad

Hailing from Galway, Ireland, NewDad has rapidly ascended the ranks of the indie rock scene since their formation in the early 2020s. Comprised of Julie Dawson (vocals, guitar), Sean O’Dowd (guitar), Cara Joshi (bass), and Adam Murphy (drums), the quartet quickly garnered attention with their distinctive blend of shoegaze-infused indie rock, often characterised by melancholic undertones and Dawson’s ethereal, yet commanding, vocals.
