Fållan is situated within Stockholm's Slakthusområdet, a former abattoir complex erected in the early 20th century, primarily between 1910 and 1920. The structure itself exemplifies a functionalist industrial aesthetic of its era, characterized by sturdy brick and concrete construction typical of utility buildings designed for large-scale operations. As a repurposed industrial hall, the space maintains much of its original, utilitarian character, now adapted for live events. Its design offers a largely open, flat standing floor capable of accommodating approximately 1,500 to 2,000 patrons for a concert configuration, lacking any fixed tiered seating or balconies.

Sightlines across the main hall are generally unobstructed, owing to the absence of interior columns or architectural divisions that might impede views. However, in a full-capacity setting, density of the standing crowd can inevitably limit sightlines, particularly for those further back from the stage. Acoustically, the hall's original industrial design, with its high ceilings and hard, reflective surfaces of concrete and brick, presents inherent challenges. While modern sound reinforcement systems are deployed to manage the sound field, the space retains a naturally reverberant quality that necessitates careful calibration of the PA to achieve clarity and impact, rather than relying on intrinsic acoustic warmth or dampening.
