Opened in 1990, Pabellón Príncipe Felipe is a modernist, multi-purpose arena characterized by its functional concrete and steel construction, typical of large-scale European venues from its era. The main space features a central arena floor, convertible for sporting events or concert configurations, surrounded by steep, tiered seating. Depending on the event, the hall can accommodate approximately 10,700 spectators for basketball, expanding to capacities upwards of 12,000 for concert layouts that utilize the standing floor. Sightlines from the lower and mid-tier seating offer clear views, though upper-tier seats provide a more distant perspective of the stage.

As a large, unadorned concrete structure, the auditorium presents inherent acoustic challenges. Sound propagation within the expansive volume results in a pronounced natural reverberation. Consequently, the clarity and impact of performances rely heavily on sophisticated sound reinforcement systems, with engineers carefully tuning the installed PA to counteract the venue's natural sonic characteristics and ensure intelligibility across the large space.

The Live Experience & Current Schedule

Ingress to the hall is typically managed through several designated entry points around the perimeter, with queueing arrangements varying by event. Inside, the functional foyer areas offer standard arena concessions and bars. For live music, the ground floor can transform into a dense standing pit, providing direct proximity to the stage, while the tiered seating offers a more relaxed viewing experience with defined sightlines. The atmosphere shifts considerably between the high-energy standing areas and the more composed seated sections. With 12 live performances scheduled, upcoming entry prices start from €0.84.
