Against the Current at Leeds Beckett University — 31 Oct 2026

The nearest mainline station is Leeds Station. From the station's main exit on New Station Street, a 12-minute walk north-east will lead to the City Campus. Proceed straight across City Square onto Park Row, then turn left onto The Headrow. Continue along The Headrow, then turn right onto Portland Way, which leads directly into the campus area.

• Bus & Public Transit: Leeds City Centre is extensively served by local and regional bus routes. Numerous services stop along The Headrow and Woodhouse Lane, both directly adjacent to the City Campus. Key bus stops are located within a 3-minute walk of the primary university buildings. Long-distance coach services arrive at Leeds Coach Station, a 15-minute walk south-east, primarily along York Street and Vicar Lane to The Headrow.
• Parking: Several public multi-storey car parks are situated within a 10-minute radius. Q-Park St John's Centre on Merrion Street, The Light Car Park on St Paul's Street, and the Merrion Centre Car Park offer considerable capacity. Fees apply, and pre-booking is often recommended, especially for evening or weekend events, to mitigate city centre congestion and secure a space.
• Entry & Doors: The specific entrance point for events can vary depending on the venue within the campus. Event details typically specify the exact building and entrance. Queue arrangements are managed on the pavement immediately outside the designated entry point. Security personnel conduct bag searches upon entry. To ensure a smooth ingress and allow time for any pre-event hospitality, arriving 30-45 minutes before the scheduled start time is generally prudent.
