The fight

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua meet at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on the night of Friday 11 December 2026. It is an all-British heavyweight fight that was discussed for years before it was made, and the stadium calls it the biggest boxing event of the year.

The stadium lists the event at 17:00, which is when the night begins, not when the two men fight. The main event is scheduled for the early hours: ring walks are expected at around 1am on Saturday 12 December, timed for an international audience, and the stadium has applied to stay open until about 3.30am. If you are travelling home the same night, plan for a very late finish.

Netflix is showing the fight live worldwide. The British Boxing Board of Control lists the promoters as Queensberry Promotions, Matchroom Boxing and Sela. The vacant WBA "super" heavyweight title is at stake. At the time of writing no undercard has been announced; reports say a Deontay Wilder fight is being explored for the bill, but nothing is agreed. The stadium notes that the event remains subject to licence.

How the sale went

Around 80,000 tickets went on general sale at noon on Friday 9 October 2026 and, according to Reuters and BBC Sport, sold out within an hour; some outlets put it closer to 40 minutes. More than 500,000 people were reported in the online queue within minutes of the sale opening.

For comparison, BoxingInsider notes that Joshua's fight with Kubrat Pulev at the same stadium in 2017 sold around 70,000 tickets on its first day and was the fastest-selling event in the building's history at the time.

Face-value prices, as confirmed by Ticketmaster before the sale and reported by Sky Sports and the BBC, ran from £88.50 to £13,128 for regular seats, including booking fees and excluding VIP, hotel and travel packages. Hospitality went higher still: BoxingInsider reported inner ringside rows 3 to 5 offered at £16,995 per person, rows 6 to 10 at £14,995 and rows 11 to 15 at £9,995.

With the primary sale gone, the only way in now is the resale market. That is where the figures further down this page come from: we read StubHub's listings for this fight every hour.

The "biggest gate in British boxing" claim

Sky Sports reported that the fight will generate the most lucrative gate in British boxing history. The words are Sky's; what Dana White actually said in the interview was: "I don't want to mis-speak here but we have this thing scaled for around $34 million". BoxingNews24 is careful to call that figure a projection, and so are we: no final gate has been published.

A gate is what the promoters take from the primary sale. It is a different figure from what tickets are now changing hands for on resale, which is what we can measure. The next section does that.

How many tickets are on StubHub, day by day

StubHub publishes how many tickets its sellers have listed for this fight. We record that figure, and the cheapest seat, every hour. A falling count does not by itself mean tickets have sold: sellers also withdraw or reprice listings. But over weeks it shows how much is left to choose from and whether the cheapest seat is moving.

At the last check StubHub listed 7,539 tickets from £136.02. On Fri 9 Oct 2026, the first day we recorded, there were 8,475 (11% fewer now). The most we have seen listed was 8,618, on Mon 19 Oct 2026.

Priced at the cheapest seat on each date, those tickets come to at least £1,025,455. Most sell above the cheapest seat, so the real total is higher; StubHub does not publish the price of every listing, so we only state the minimum.

Where you would sit, and the cheapest seat in each area

The Principality Stadium has a maximum capacity of 80,000 with its roof closed, and for a boxing night the pitch itself is seated. We group StubHub's listings by area of the stadium below, using the section names sellers list under. The table shows the cheapest ticket listed in each area now and, where we have it, the cheapest in the same area on the first day we recorded, so you can see which parts of the stadium are getting dearer or cheaper.

Upper-tier U blocks are the highest and furthest from the ring but are the cheapest way in. The middle (M and N) and lower (L) tiers are closer to the pitch; some lower-tier listings are marked as restricted view, so check the seller's notes before you buy.

Ringside and floor seats: what they cost on StubHub

The seats closest to the ring are on the pitch: the ringside blocks around the ring, and the floor blocks behind them. These are the seats that were sold as hospitality on the primary sale, and they are the scarcest on the resale market. Below is every ringside and floor section StubHub lists right now, with the cheapest seat in each.

No official description of the ringside packages has been published beyond the stadium's note of "the best seats in the house, plus a number of premium experiences to choose from". A resale ticket is a seat; if a listing includes hospitality, the seller says so in the listing.

Ringside: 4 sections have tickets listed, from £3,507.78 to £8,222.83 for the cheapest seat in each.

Floor: 41 sections have tickets listed, from £416.66 to £7,344.41 for the cheapest seat in each.

Before you buy

The stadium's ground rules apply to every event: every child over two needs their own ticket, there is no re-admission once you leave, anyone entering may be searched, and items including bottles, cans, banners, poles, large umbrellas and selfie sticks are not allowed in. Some StubHub sellers add their own conditions, such as under-16s having to be accompanied by an adult; read the listing notes.

Resale prices are set by the seller and can sit above or below face value. If you want to wait for the price to drop, the alert on this page emails you when the cheapest seat falls.
