Designed by HOK Sport (now Populous), the architecture evokes classic ballparks while incorporating modern amenities. The hall features a seating capacity of approximately 50,398 spectators for baseball, configured across multiple tiered decks: a lower bowl, club level, and an upper deck, along with various luxury suites. A distinctive feature is the "Rockpile" in center field, offering general admission standing and bench seating.

For concerts and other large-scale events, a stage is typically erected on the outfield grass, creating a substantial standing area on the playing surface. Sightlines from the tiered seating are generally comprehensive, providing clear views of the field and stage, although proximity varies significantly from the lower bowl to the uppermost sections. Entering Coors Field involves navigating multiple gates distributed along the perimeter, with primary access points on Blake Street, 20th Street, and 22nd Street. Security screening and bag checks are standard practice. Once inside, attendees find extensive concourses lined with numerous concession stands and bars. The "Rooftop" area, situated in the upper right field, provides an expansive open-air bar and social space. For concerts, the field-level standing pit can achieve high crowd density, offering direct proximity to the stage. Seated attendees in the stands benefit from tiered sightlines, with the lower bowl providing closer views and the upper decks offering a panoramic, albeit distant, perspective of the performance.
