About E3 Strand Eersel: Layout, History & Architecture
Constructed in 2018, E3 Strand Eersel presents a contemporary architectural profile, characterized by its use of reinforced concrete and large glazed sections. The building's design leans towards a post-industrial aesthetic, reflecting a commitment to functional modernity. The main performance hall is a vast, open-plan space with a flat standing floor, capable of accommodating approximately 2,800 attendees for standing-room-only events. A single, slightly elevated mezzanine level at the rear offers an alternative viewing perspective, though its capacity is limited.
The primary function of the hall dictates its acoustic properties. Designed predominantly for amplified music and events, the hard, reflective surfaces inherent to concrete construction generate significant natural reverberation. Consequently, the clarity and quality of sound are heavily reliant on the precise calibration of the installed PA system and the skill of the front-of-house audio engineer.
