Originally constructed as an industrial flour mill in the late 19th or early 20th century, the building now known as Electric Studios was repurposed and opened as a music venue in 1980. Its architectural lineage is purely functional, characterised by robust brickwork and an open, utilitarian design typical of its industrial past. The primary performance space is a large, unobstructed flat standing floor, providing a direct, unmediated view of the stage. The maximum capacity for live events is approximately 900-1000 patrons.
