Constructed in 2007 for the Pan American Games and subsequently renovated for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Farmasi Arena is a large-scale, multi-purpose indoor venue characterized by its functional modernist design. Its adaptable floor space can transform from a flat standing pit to a full-sized sports court, encircled by permanent tiered seating that rises sharply to the upper levels.
