About Jiffy Lube Live: Layout, History & Architecture
Jiffy Lube Live, an outdoor amphitheater located in Bristow, Virginia, first opened its doors in June 1995 as the Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge. The venue is characterized by its contemporary open-air design, featuring a substantial steel framework that supports a distinctive tensile fabric roof, which provides cover for the front reserved seating area. The remainder of the space comprises a large, gently sloped lawn for general admission, designed to accommodate a casual concert experience. With a total capacity of approximately 25,262, the hall dedicates 10,482 seats to the covered section directly facing the stage, supplemented by 1,480 lawn chairs and space for 13,300 on the general admission lawn.
Sightlines from the reserved seating are generally clear and unobstructed, offering direct views of the stage. The experience from the lawn, however, is more variable, providing panoramic views but with a greater reliance on the large video screens flanking the stage for detail. Acoustically, as an open-air venue, the space is engineered for amplified performances.
