The building underwent a significant conversion in 2018, transforming the cavernous interior into a multi-purpose live performance space. The architectural approach during its renovation emphasized the raw, utilitarian aesthetic of its origins, incorporating exposed concrete and steel beams within a minimalist, post-industrial design. The hall offers a primary flat standing floor with a stated capacity of 1,200, alongside a single, elevated viewing platform situated at the rear, providing a slightly less dense vantage point for approximately 200 patrons.
Sightlines across the main floor are generally unobstructed, though the depth of the space means peripheral views near the side walls can offer partial perspectives. The elevated platform at the rear provides clear lines to the stage, albeit at a greater distance. Acoustically, the high ceilings and hard surfaces inherent to a converted industrial building present a lively, resonant environment. While the installed sound system is robust and well-calibrated, the inherent characteristics of the space mean that sound can carry and reflect, giving performances a distinct, raw immediacy rather than a perfectly controlled sonic presentation.
