Originally constructed between 1904 and 1905, the Lokschuppen Bielefeld served as a significant locomotive shed for the Prussian State Railways, and subsequently the Deutsche Reichsbahn. This industrial heritage building was repurposed and opened as a dedicated cultural venue in 1993, retaining much of its distinctive industrial architecture. The hall is characterized by its robust brick exterior, large arched windows with original steel framing, and a cavernous interior defined by high, vaulted ceilings and exposed steel trusses.
