M.A.U. Club, occupying a substantial former industrial warehouse at Warnowufer 56, embodies a robust, utilitarian architectural approach typical of waterfront conversions. The building, likely dating from the early to mid-20th century, has been repurposed while largely retaining its raw concrete and exposed brick character. Its position directly on the Warnow riverbank speaks to its industrial past, now reimagined as a prominent cultural space within Rostock.

The primary performance area is a rectangular, flat-floored hall designed predominantly for standing audiences, accommodating approximately 700 to 800 patrons. The stage, positioned at one end, offers unobstructed sightlines for those in the immediate front and central areas. However, visibility can become constrained for patrons further back within a densely packed crowd, especially for those of shorter stature. The venue's design prioritises floor space and direct stage proximity over tiered viewing platforms.

Acoustically, the hall's hard surfaces – concrete floors and brick walls – combined with high ceilings, contribute to a lively and resonant sound profile.
