About ONEOK Field: Layout, History & Architecture
ONEOK Field, opened in 2010, serves as a prominent open-air stadium in Tulsa's downtown area. Designed by Populous (formerly HOK Sport), the architecture is characterized by its contemporary brick and steel facade, intended to complement the industrial heritage of the surrounding Tulsa Arts District. Primarily configured as a baseball park, the hall features a bowl of fixed seating with a stated capacity of 7,833, expandable for various events.
For live performances beyond sports, the playing field itself typically serves as a flat standing area or temporary seating, offering direct proximity to a stage. Seating in the permanent stands provides panoramic views, with sightlines generally clear, though upper sections will offer a more distant perspective of the event. As an open-air venue, the acoustic profile relies heavily on external sound reinforcement systems; sound dissipates quickly into the environment, and while modern PA systems are employed, the space's inherent design means sound quality is good but not comparable to acoustically tuned indoor auditoriums.
The Live Experience & Current Schedule
Entry to the space involves standard stadium security checks at multiple gates positioned around the perimeter, including prominent access points on Elgin Avenue and Archer Street. Inside, attendees will find a variety of concession stands and bars typical of a modern sports arena, providing refreshment options. For concerts, the experience can range from energetic standing areas on the field directly in front of the stage to more relaxed, elevated seating in the stadium stands, each offering distinct vantage points and crowd dynamics. With 0 live performances scheduled, upcoming entry prices start from standard pricing. The next confirmed event on the calendar is upcoming live performances on soon.

The Blue Dome Parking Garage (317 E 1st St) is a 6-minute walk east, while the Cox Business Convention Center parking garage (100 Civic Center) is approximately a 12-minute walk south-west. Various surface lots also operate in the surrounding Brady Arts District and Blue Dome District.
