The hall is engineered for adaptability, primarily serving as a sports arena with a core capacity of approximately 6,572 for events like handball or basketball. For music concerts and larger spectacles, the space can reconfigure to accommodate up to 10,000 attendees, primarily by utilizing the central floor as a standing pit.
The internal layout features a central flat performance area, ringed by steeply raked, tiered seating that provides generally clear sightlines throughout the upper tiers. The design prioritises capacity and versatility over inherent acoustic warmth. As a large, modern concrete structure, the auditorium's acoustics are expansive and can be highly reflective.
