Opened in 2018, the venue is a large-scale, multi-purpose stadium situated on the Burswood Peninsula, with its primary façade presenting towards the Swan River. Architecturally, it features a contemporary, curvilinear 'envelope' design, incorporating a distinct bronze façade. The main arena provides a substantial capacity of 60,000 seats for sporting events, expandable to 70,000 for concerts and rectangular pitch configurations. Seating is distributed across multiple tiers, forming a wide bowl, offering diverse vantage points depending on the ticket. For music events, a stage is typically erected at one end of the oval, allowing for a mix of general admission standing on the ground level and tiered seating in the stands.

Acoustically, as a modern, open-air stadium of this scale, the space is inherently challenging for music performances. Sound projection relies heavily on the installed PA systems, which are designed to cover vast distances. The natural environment of the venue leads to significant sound dissipation and potential for echo, particularly in the upper tiers. Inside, the concourses host a multitude of food and beverage outlets. For concerts, the standing areas on the pitch can become densely packed, offering direct proximity to the stage.
