Sport- und Kongresshalle

Schwerin Hauptbahnhof (main station) is the primary rail gateway. From the station, the hall is approximately a 2.2-kilometre walk southwest down Wittenburger Straße, taking around 25-30 minutes. Alternatively, connect via local public transport from the station forecourt.

For those travelling by car, the Sport- und Kongresshalle is accessible via the A14 motorway. Exit the A14 at junction 7 (Schwerin) and follow signs towards the city centre, which will lead you onto prominent routes like Wismarsche Straße and subsequently Friedrich-Engels-Allee. A useful postcode for navigation purposes, which is close to the venue, is 19055. Parking options are varied; there is limited on-street parking available in the vicinity, but this can be restricted and time-limited. The most reliable option is often the multi-storey car park located approximately a 5-minute walk away, with estimated costs typically ranging from €1.50 to €3.00 per hour, and a daily cap of around €15.00. While a dedicated park and ride scheme isn't prominently advertised, using peripheral car parks on the outskirts of the city and taking a short bus or taxi ride is a viable alternative. The venue generally offers a few designated accessible parking bays close to the entrance.

The Sport- und Kongresshalle is committed to providing an accessible experience for all patrons. Wheelchair access is available at all main entrances, and internal lifts connect the various levels of the venue, ensuring access to seating areas, bars, and amenities. Accessible toilet facilities are clearly marked and strategically located throughout the building. While specific hearing loop systems are event-dependent and best confirmed in advance, the venue generally strives to accommodate patrons with hearing impairments where possible. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the venue, and designated areas for service animals can be arranged upon request. Accessible parking bays are situated in close proximity to the main entrance. Venue staff are trained to provide assistance and guidance to visitors with disabilities, and attendees are encouraged to contact the venue in advance to discuss any specific requirements.

The main entrance is located on Wittenburger Straße. Queue arrangements are typically structured to manage large crowds efficiently. Standard bag search policies are in place for security. For ticketed events, it is generally recommended to arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow for security checks, ticket scanning, and navigation to your seating or standing position.
