About Auditorio - Roig Arena: Layout, History & Architecture
Expected to open in late 2024 at C/ de Antoni Ferrandis, 10, the Auditorio - Roig Arena in València represents a significant new addition to the city's event infrastructure. Designed by HOK, this modern multi-purpose indoor arena emphasizes structural efficiency and high capacity. Primarily constructed from concrete and steel, the hall is designed to accommodate approximately 15,600 spectators for basketball and up to 18,600 for concerts and other large-scale events.
The layout features a central floor area convertible for standing audiences or additional seating, surrounded by multiple tiers of fixed seating. Sightlines throughout the main bowl are engineered to be generally clear, though upper-tier seats will naturally offer a more distant perspective of the stage or playing field. As a new, large-volume concrete structure, the space's inherent acoustics will rely heavily on a robust installed sound reinforcement system to deliver clear audio; without such amplification, the vastness could present challenges with natural reverberation.
The Live Experience & Current Schedule
Ingress into the Auditorio - Roig Arena is facilitated by multiple entry points, leading into spacious concourse areas designed to manage high crowd volumes efficiently. These areas are expected to host a variety of foyer bars and food concession points, reducing queue times. For concerts, the experience will vary significantly between the energetic standing pit directly in front of the stage and the more elevated, seated tiers, which offer clearer vantage points. The expansive nature of the hall means crowd atmosphere can feel spread out, yet focused during peak performance moments. With 12 live performances scheduled, upcoming entry prices start from €43.18. The next confirmed event on the calendar is Raúl Clyde Valencia on 12th October 2026.
