Fabric London, established in 1999, occupies a substantial subterranean space within a former cold storage facility and meat market building in Clerkenwell. The architectural ethos is industrial utilitarianism, characterized by exposed concrete, steel structural elements, and brickwork, retaining much of its original commercial shell. The venue operates across three primary rooms: Fabric (often referred to as Room One), Room Two, and Room Three (also known as The Third Room). Each space is primarily configured with flat standing floors, designed for high-density crowds and immersive electronic music experiences, with some elevated platforms offering varied perspectives without traditional tiered seating. The overall capacity of the complex accommodates approximately 1,600 patrons.

Sightlines within the space are generally clear from most positions on the main floors, though structural pillars and dense crowds can occasionally obstruct direct views in peak areas. The sound environment, crucial for electronic music, is characterized by powerful, custom-built sound systems (including BodySonic and Pioneer Pro Audio installations) that project sound effectively within the largely concrete and steel enclosures. While these systems are highly engineered for impact and clarity, the inherent industrial structure means acoustic treatment focuses on managing reflections and containing bass frequencies, resulting in an immersive, high-volume experience rather than natural acoustic warmth typical of purpose-built concert halls.
