This bustling hub is served by numerous national and international train lines, including high-speed ICE services from Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg, as well as IC and regional trains from across Germany. From Leipzig Hauptbahnhof, the venue is approximately a 20-30 minute journey via public transport, typically involving a short tram ride. Direct train services from London require a change, usually in Brussels or Paris, making for a longer journey, but frequent connections exist from other major UK cities like Manchester, Birmingham, and Edinburgh, albeit with multiple changes. Leipzig Hauptbahnhof offers comprehensive facilities, including ticket offices, waiting areas, and accessibility services. Regular tram lines connect the station directly to the Connewitz district, making onward travel convenient.

There is no dedicated parking facility for UT Connewitz. On-street parking in the Connewitz district is limited and often congested, particularly on event nights. Patrons arriving by car should anticipate a challenge finding a space and consider using public transport or utilizing public parking garages further afield in the city center, though these would require a subsequent tram or S-Bahn journey. Advance booking for parking is not typically an option in this residential area.

UT Connewitz strives to be accessible to all patrons. While specific details may vary, efforts are typically made to ensure wheelchair accessibility. Entrances are usually level or have ramps, and internal spaces, including performance areas and some seating, are designed to accommodate wheelchairs. Accessible toilet facilities should be available within the venue. For patrons with hearing impairments, the venue may offer induction loop systems, particularly in the main auditorium or at information points; it is advisable to inquire in advance. Assistance dogs are generally welcomed at UT Connewitz, though policy may vary per event; confirmation with the venue is recommended. If service animals are present, facilities for their comfort should be considered. Accessible parking, if available, would typically be on-street spaces close to the venue entrance. Staff are usually available to provide assistance and guidance to visitors with accessibility needs.

The main entrance is located directly on Wolfgang-Heinze-Straße. Queue arrangements typically form outside along the pavement. Standard security procedures, including bag searches, are in place. To ensure smooth entry and secure a preferred vantage point within the auditorium, it is advisable to arrive 30 to 45 minutes before the advertised stage time, rather than just at the doors open time, especially for popular events.
